Zoya NYFW 2015 Trio

I picked up this trio a few weeks back, and even though I don't think it's available anymore, I still want to share it. The trio was created for New York Fashion Week for Rolando Santana. They ran a promo that said you could get it free with a $30 purchase, I think. The polishes were so striking and beautiful, I couldn't pass it up.

The three polishes are Antoinette, Dagmara and Constance. They are all the satin matte formula.

The first is Antoinette. At first glance, she was the least exciting of the trio. I honestly thought she would be pretty close to the same as the Naturel Satins that I had. Turns out, they weren't even close. It's more on the purple-y taupe end, where as the Naturel Satins were more on a lighter pinky side. It's kind of hard to judge when trying to look through the frosted bottle. The formula was great - very thick though. You can see I had some issues with it getting lumpy on my pointer finger. Other than that, I think it is a great polish - especially as a transition into Fall and Winter.

I wore it to work this past week, but I felt like I needed a little more sprucing, so I topped it with Orly Fifty-Four and added a matte topcoat. I think it ended up being a subtle, yet classy early Fall mani.

Second, is Dagmara. This is the polish that originally drew me to the collection. Blue polishes are my vice, and this one was like something I'd never seen. It looks almost like a deep teal color in the bottle, but upon application, the green seems to fade out and it's just a nice deep dusty, blue.

This color is extremely extremely pigmented, and I knew it would stain my nails. I swatched it the first time, and it left a lot of pigment on my nails that took extra effort to remove. The second time, I applied two coats of base coat, and that seemed to do the trick. I had no staining or residue issues.

This is some nail art I did the first time I swatched it. I attempted some kind of glitter ombre with a silver shimmer polish; it didn't turn out like I had hoped, but it was still nice anyway. It seems like more of a winter look than a fall one, so I may work on perfecting it for next month.

Lastly, is Constance. This polish is a beautiful shade of forest green. Like Dagmara, it is extremely pigmented, so I made sure to use two coats of base coat as a precaution. The polish is very thick, as you can see on my middle finger. It did shift on my tips a little while I was trying to take pictures.

Overall, I think this is a very beautiful collection, and each of the colors compliments the others. I'm glad I didn't pass up on getting these!

The standout for me has got to be Dagmara, for sure. I don't have a blue like it in my collection, and the formula is just so amazing!
